Have you got a great idea that could improve the health and wellbeing of your community?
Local people with good ideas will be able to seek funding assistance through a new grants program launched this month (October 2018) by the Latrobe Health Assembly.
The Health Innovation Grants Program will support better health and wellbeing for Latrobe Valley residents by encouraging local people to think and act differently about local solutions to health issues.
The program is being run by the Latrobe Health Assembly and is offering support of up to $10,000 plus GST per project. The Assembly has allocated a total of $200,000 for the program.
Applications must reflect one of the four priorities that the LHA has identified so far.
- Healthy Living (Physical Activity, Smoke Free and Healthy Food);
- Better Care (Chronic Health, Mental Health and Dental Health);
- Positive Culture (Social Inclusion, Safe Families and Drugs and Alcohol); and
- Great Place (Building and Natural Resources, Jobs and Skills and Community Capital).
